SHELL & TUBE

 A shell and tube heat exchanger features multiple tubes housed within a larger cylindrical shell. One fluid moves through the tubes, while a second fluid flows around them inside the shell, enabling heat transfer between the two. This type of heat exchanger is widely used in industries and power plants because it’s durable and can operate under high pressure and temperature. Compared to plate-type models, shell and tube systems are generally larger but can be taken apart for maintenance and cleaning, making them well-suited for applications prone to fouling.
